In third grade, I started playing basketball for my elementary school just to have an extracurricular activity. I continued to only play for my school for years until 7th grade when I realized how much basketball really meant to me. Basketball to me was always something fun to do out of school which it still is but now I, but I definitely take the sport more seriously and work harder and harder every day to reach my potential and even go beyond that. When I realized my love and passion for this sport, I wanted more, and wanted to continue growing more than just school basketball. Near the end of 8th grade a family friend introduced my mom and me to Coach David Taylor and DTX basketball. When I began at DTX I realized that this program was where I needed to be and Coach Taylor was going to get me go where I wanted to go. Over the past year and a half Coach has been able to teach me so many lessons, on and off the court, to become a better athlete and person. DTX has helped me become a better athlete all around. I am able to work on my shot, my post moves, ball handling, my ability to play defense, and constantly moving around the court. After finishing my second year playing with the St. Joseph High School program I was excited to get back to DTX to continue to learn from Coach Taylor.
Lastly, my future goals are to become better on my post moves, creating faster feet, continue to grow my basketball IQ and accumulating more rebounds than I get now.
